Digital Video Generator DP 1.2, VbO, HDMI 2.1

The Astrodesign Digital Video Generator VG-879 supports latest digital interfaces such as 12G-SDI, HDMI 2.0b, DP 1.2 and V-by-One HS. Wide Color-gamut standard test images for Display Test either Full HD, 4K or 8K. The Application Software is also included to program the Generator and allow the user to make their own 3D data.

Main Features

INTERFACE CARDS                         

Max.4 modules selectable, HDMI 3G or 6G, Displayport 1.2, V-by-One HS and 3G-SDI.

MAXIMUM RESOLUTION           

By synchronizing 4 or 2 units of VG-876, 8K/120p or 8K/60p signals are supported (8K/120p by V-by-One HS, 8K/60p by

V-by-One HS and HDMI etc.)

COMPLIANCE TESTS                      

  • HDMI 2.0 test functions supported : EIA CEA-861-F Timing Format including 4K/50, 60p, YCBCR 4:4:4/4:2:2/4:2:0 timing. SCDC parameter change and status display. ITU-R BT.2020 color bar and video output setting 4K6G with Scrambling Enable setting CEA-861.3 HDR (High Dynamic Rnage) InfoFrame setting HDR Test Patterns supported (New) 21:9 test patterns as option (VT-8500-0014)
  • 0 Compliance Test (MOI)
  • Program data and operation are backwards compatible with VG-870 series.
  • Pre-installed 4K and 3D test patterns. Optional 8K and 4K HDR Picture Library (VT-7009).

HDMI 2.1 UNIT (VM-1876-MD)

  • Signal generation by FRL (Max.48Gbps) and TMDS (Max. 18Gbps) modes.
  • Uncompressed 8K/60p YCbCr4:2:0 and 4K/120p YCbCr4:4:4 signal.
  • 4/2.3
  • DSC will be supported in future.

HDMI 6G & HDCP2.2 UNIT (VM-1876-M8)         

  • 4K/60p (RGB/YCBCR 4:4:4) output from each 2 channel.
  • 2 and 1.4 are selectable.
  • 0 Compliance Test (CTS), Test IDs and MOIs

HDMI UNIT (VM-1876-M7)       

  • 4K/60p(YCBCR 4:2:0) output is supported.
  • 8K/30p is supported by using 4ch.
  • 2 and 1.4 are supported. (following sink capability)

  • 4K/60p(YCBCR 4:2:0) output is supported.
  • 8K/30p is supported by using 4ch.
  • 4 is supported.

DISPLAYPORT UNIT (VM-1876A-M1)    

  • DisplayPort Ver.1.2a based. 4K/60p is transmitted by single channel.
  • SST (Single Stream Transport) and MST (Multi Stream Transport) are supported.
  • 4K/120p output is available by using 2 ports.
  • HDCP is not supported.

V-BY-ONE HS UNIT (VM-1876-M2)        

  • 4K/120p and 8K/30p are transmitted by one unit.
  • 8K/120p (4 pcs of 4K/120p) is transmitted by 4 slot units in one VG-879.

12G-SDI UNIT (VM-1876-MB)   

  • 4K/60p is transmitted by one channel of 12G-SDI, two channels of 6G-SDI or four channels of 3G-SDI.
  • The payload is editable.
  • Eight channels of audio and time code packet can be embedded.
  • This unit is installed in VG-879 only.

HDBASET UNIT (VM-1876-MC)

  • 4K/60p (YCbCr4:2:0) and 1080/120p HDMI transmission by LAN cable.

ITMDS UNIT (VM-1876-M9)      

  • Able to support 4K/60p by one unit, 4K/120p (Cross split, Vertical 4-Split) by two units.
  • 4K/60p LVDS output is possible by using two sets of IA-1540 converter.

SYNCHRONIZING UNIT (VM-1876-MX)

  • 8K/120p timing is output by synchronizing four units of VG-879　V-by-One® HS.
  • Please install one video interface and one synchronizing unit in each VG-879.
