Every Diesel engine contains multiple temperature sensor to monitor engine behavior. To test the Control Modules is not wanted or realistic to use a complete Diesel Engine. Simulating these temperature sensor is more than welcome, which  simulates a fixed temperature. PXI RTD modules can be used by automatic simulating every temperature needed. 

In a full automated production line, down time of the process is aimed to be at a minimum and at a as short as possible time. This requires the monitoring of several parameters through sensors and data of machines and control hardware like PLC's.
