Automotive ECU Fault Insertion
Automotive ECU fault simulation is often used at prototype design to simulate most faults. This can be done manually by shorting pins to Ground or Vcc or by simulating opens or shorts. By means of PXI Fault Simulations Modules these faults can be simulated according a fixed repeatable procedure.
Full control, monitoring, and analysis on Vibration Test Stands
The Adwin concept includes hardware with analog and digital inputs and outputs with an onboard processor. With this architecture, fast actions are possible on inputs. This ability can be applied on controlling Vibration Test Stands. Sensors connected to the inputs of an ADwin system can measure the positions of the vibration table, an via the outputs the electronic or mechanical drives of the table can be controlled. At the same time other sensors, connected to the Object under test, can be measured. Electric engine testing
Electrical engines are tested during several stages, during development, in production, and at lifetime testing. Dedicated teststands are used for this purpose, depending on the type of the motor, and the application for which it will be used. In a teststand, electrical and mechanical parameters are measured with sensors and dedicated modules. A datalogger which can acquire the data from the sensors, and can generate signals for control purposes, and can communicate with the additional equipment, forms a central place in the teststand.
Pumps are available in different sizes, from micro-dosing pumps, pumps for consumer usage, up to big hydraulic pumps in the industry. Testing of pumps include measuring parameters like rotation speed, flow, pressure and temperature. Also vibration analysis is performed. Also the controlling part of the pump needs to be verified. Fast data-acquisition hardware with analog inputs and with analog and digitale outputs can manage all the testing done in a teststand for testing pumps.
