Engine rotation measurement using the engine vibration
Common-rail injection or distributor injection are adopted in recent diesel engines, nowadays. This application shows how to measure the diesel engine rotation by using the engine vibration.

Monitoring turbines and generators
Vibration Monitoring on turbines and generators is applied to verify if vibration values are not at improper levels. Vibration velocity sensors or acceleration sensors can be used for this purpose. The Delphin Expert Vibro can be used for both type, and can convert the signals into valuable information. If required, the Vibro can react if improper values are exceeded by generating alarm or control via any of the outputs. Through one of the communication buses, the Vibro can communicate to a central control system.

Diagnosis of Bearing damage with vibration monitoring
With machinery and transmission systems running continuously, or not always available for maintainance, Condition Monitoring Systems are used to for diagnosis of bearing damage in the earliest stages. Often vibration measurements are used in these systems. A Delphin Expert Vibro, a fast datalogger with simultaneous analoge inputs, and onboard analysis capability, can acquire data from acceleration sensors, and convert these data in usable frequency spectra and diagrams. From these analysis, conclusions can be made about the status of the bearings, and if required, alarm can be generated when limits are exceeded.
