For the execution of our services
We use personal data to contact you.

When drafting this, we delete where possible the personal data we do not need, we can also bundle data at a certain level of abstraction (aggregate), encrypt (pseudonymise) or make anonymous.

On what legal basis do we process personal data?
Processing of personal data is only permitted if we have a legal basis for this. We apply the following principles:

• The processing is necessary for the execution of the agreement.
• The processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, for example requesting a copy of your identity card to identify you.
• The processing is necessary for the representation of a legitimate interest.

We make a weighing of interests between the legitimate interest of us or of a third party and your interest.

How do we protect personal data?
We handle personal data with care and have taken technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss or unlawful processing. Think of measures to use our website and IT systems safely and to prevent abuse. But also the security of physical spaces where data is stored. We have an information security policy and ensure that our employees have knowledge in the field of personal data protection. Only authorized personnel can view and process your data. We oblige our suppliers of software and IT systems to take at least equivalent security measures. All our employees have a confidentiality statement. Employees promise and / or declare that they adhere to the laws and regulations and codes of conduct and act with integrity.

How long do we keep personal data?
We do not store personal data longer than necessary. In some cases, the law determines how long we may or must store data. In other cases, we have determined for ourselves how long we need your data. We have drawn up a retention period policy for this.

With whom do we share personal data?
We share personal information with third parties if this is permitted by law and is necessary for our business operations. We share personal information with:

• Our employees, when they are directly involved in the service or insurance taken out by you or your employer;
• Departments, subsidiaries and sister companies. This allows us to process your request efficiently and we have an overview of the services that you purchase from us. This allows us to better serve you and, for example, you only have to make a change once.
• The government if we are legally obliged to do so. You can think of the Dutch Tax Authorities, Police, Justice or Supervisors, the Dutch Data Protection Authority;
• Companies we hire to provide services for us related to our services. You can think of communication companies, email and marketing platforms, hosting companies, web developers or other marketing and IT consultants.

We can also outsource the processing of personal data to third parties. According to the law, those third parties are then processors of personal data. For example, we use IT service providers for maintenance and support functions. Such parties are considered processors because they do not have independent control over personal data in the context of our products and services. We remain responsible in those situations for the careful processing of personal data.
