Haefely EMC Combination & Ring wave test system
Combination waves or Hybrids (U: 1.2/50us open circuit, I: 8/20us short circuit, PIM100) , are used in a wide range of test applications. The most common use is to simulate lightning impulses coupled onto the domestic single or three phase supplies. Standards such as IEC 61000-4-5 Ed. 1 & 2and ANSI C62.41 require this type of impulse.
Ring waves (0.5us rise-time, 100kHz frequency, PIM110), are used to simulate lightning or switching effects in domestic single or three phase supplies within an adequately protected building. The waveform has similar characteristics in both open and short circuit conditions. The ring wave is characterised as a bipolar damped oscillating wave. Standards such as IEC 61000-4-12 and ANSI C62.41 require this type of waveform.

Key Features :
- Impulse voltage up to 7.4kV
- 3.7kA short circuit current
- Oscilloscope Impulse monitor outputs
- Multiple applications
- Automatic polarity switching
- Single and three phase CDNs
- Telecommunication couplers
- Combination waves for IEC & ANSI
- 2ohm source impedance for combination waveform
- 100 kHz ring wave for IEC and ANSI up to 7.8kV
- Output impedance 12ohm, 30ohm & 200ohm (ring wave)
- Fully automatic AC and DC power line couplers up to 32A per phase (PCD100 or PCD130) with dual/triple inputs.

Haefely EMC Oscillating wave test system (PIM 150)
Haefely EMC Oscillating wave test system (PIM 150)    Damped oscillating waves are characteristic of interference generated by switching in power circuits. They are characterized by low energy; very fast rise time bipolar bursts with a high repetition rate. Applications are for the testing of : protective relays, data logging, alarm and control equipment connected to three phase power lines.

Key Features :
- 100kHz & 1MHz frequencies with 75ns rise-time
- 40 & 400Hz repetition rates with variable burst durations
- Impulse voltage up to 3.3kV
- Impedance 200ohm
- Automatic polarity switching
- Three phase 16A CDN, 480Vac and 110Vdc
- Remote control using WinFEAT&R software

  Haefely EMC PS 1500
PS 1500 is a generator fully compliant to the IEC, EN and UL requirements for safety testing of components. Clause 10 of the IEC 60065 standard specifies tests on equipment insulation, clause 14 is written to test the insulation of components used in household equipment. Section 16 of UL 1414 specifies discharge tests for Line-by-pass and antenna coupling components. The imminent danger these standards hope to avoid is against breakdown caused by surges from tunderstorms. EN 60065 is a standard required to fulfill the Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC for the testing of Audio and Video equipment connected to the power mains or other power supply.

Key Features :
- 15kV discharge
- Impulse counter
- Discharge repetition up to 24/minute
- Discharge and flash monitor
- Switchable 4MOhm parallel resistor
