The FTB-5500 PMD Analyzer uses the TIA-approved Interferometric Method for fast, field-proof testing in most any situation. This unit, used with the handheld FLS-110P or the FLS-5800 Light Source, features excellent dynamic range for measuring links longer than 250 km. The PMD analysis range of the unit is exceptional, covering 0.05 ps to 200 ps. This range covers both new fibers with low PMD behavior and older legacy fibers that may introduce very high PMD.
